Classical Guitar

www.Universitypublishinghouse.net/sheetmusic.html

Hello

I'm putting together some arrangements for classical guitar from well known public domain pieces.  I'd be interested in hearing what people want.  Right now, if memory serves, have composed arrangements for Ave Maria, Malaguena, House of the Rising Sun, Bolero, Bach stuff, more.  Check out the website for complete list. Any other relevant comments would be appreciated as well.

  1. Hello

Do you have faithful arrangements? I have heard several version of Rumores de la Caleta that don't follow the orignal piano version very closely.

  2. Hi

I know what you mean. Most if not all versions of Rumores de la Caleta roll up the three staccato notes following the bass note inthe recurring theme into an e major chord roll, and muddies the succinctness of the original melody. It is admittedly easier to play it with a chord roll, but I adhered to the original intent.

  4. Oh, I dunno. There are the traditional ones, of course, but I wonder if they are ageing to the point of not cutting the mustard anymore. There are lots of younger performers now, like Ana Vidovic, tho I think she usually plays too fast. What do others think about the 10 best??
